FALL 2026: Techniques for Sewing

Course Description

Master working with silk charmeuse on both the length and bias grainlines. We'll cover proper needle, thread, and plate choices, various seam and finish options, zipper application, buttons/buttonholes, interfacing, underlining, a variety of different hems, and precise cutting techniques. Requirement: Advanced beginner sewing skill level or higher. Expect three hours of homework between classes. Class meets once a week for six weeks. Cost: $225 Small class size. All classes are online through Zoom. Class recordings are available to students during the session and for eight weeks after the session ends. Refund Policy: Full refund if cancellation request is received seven days or more before the start date of the class. No refunds within seven days of the start date.
