SPRING 2026: Introduction to CLO

Course Description

This course is designed for anyone interested in learning pattern drafting software but unsure where to begin. Join Alyssa Ridder, a distinguished Costume Designer, Researcher, and Educator, as she guides you through the CLO Workspace. The class will cover basic patterning tools, troubleshooting, fundamental pattern drafting techniques, and pattern alterations. This introductory class spans a total of four hours, divided into two sessions. Required Materials: • Computer (see class description for link to minimum system requirements) • 3-button mouse • CLO Software (14 Day Free Trial available through class description) Please install CLO Software before class! Class meets once a week for two weeks via Zoom Cost: $125 Class Size: Minimum 6, Maximum 15 students Instructor: Alyssa Ridder Class recordings are available to students during the session and for eight weeks after the session ends. Refund Policy: Full refund if cancellation request is received seven days or more before the start date of the class. No refunds within seven days of the start date.
