Students learn draping foundations by draping the skirt, bodice and sleeve on a dress form. After draping the basics, students will move onto draping cowls, flares, princess seams and collars. Students will also learn how to transfer a draped muslin into a paper pattern for cutting and sewing. Students will need a dress form for the class (we recommend forms from RoxyDisplay.com).  Recommended Text: Draping for Fashion Design (any edition), by Jaffe/Relis.

 

Expect 2-3 hours of homework in between classes.
