Students of fashion design will benefit from understanding different fibers, yarn types, woven vs. knit fabrics, dyes and finishes. Textiles will focus on all of that while teaching how to recognize, name and understand apparel textiles. Students will receive a swatch kit of over 140 fabrics as well as worksheets and exercises to deepen their understanding of textiles and current market trends. This class will benefit the beginner to advanced student.

 

Expect 2 hours of homework between classes.
